Second Thursday on Second Street - Thursday, September 10

Something really special is taking shape the second Thursday of every month from 5 to 9 PM in a pocket of the Downtown Himmarshee area. Second Thursday on Second Street, an appropriate art-and-music-filled nod to the trendy and historic entertainment district, is quickly becoming a monthly social networking staple. And you can’t beat the value!

Neighbors on the south side of the 200 block of Southwest Second Street—Tarpon Bend Food and Tackle, Limoncello Italian Trattoria, T Mex, Himmarshee Bar & Grille, Side Bar, Coyote Ugly, Briny’s Irish Club and Fat Cat’s—are teaming up to present the monthly meet-and-mingle that benefits Riverwalk Trust.

Admission to the recurring indoor/outdoor get-together is just $10 in advance and you can prepay at GoRiverwalk.com. ($15 at the door). Check in tables are located on each end of the block, in front of Tarpon Bend and Coyote Ugly. Charge includes a free drink or light bite at each of the seven participating establishments, live music in three locations and an ever-changing collection of artists showcasing and selling their works. Event is rain or shine and pet-friendly.
Second on Second is giving Thursday nights bragging rights, with the help of partners like Premier Beverage, New Times, Stephens Distributing/Rolling Rock, ArtServe, Broward Cultural Division, Classical South Florida, Go! Riverwalk, Riverwalk Trust and the Downtown Development Authority. The latter two are catalysts in making downtown Fort Lauderdale and its gem of a riverfront a vibrant place to live, work and play!
